Tyche: The giant planet

New research on infrared data from NASA's explorer, the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, reveal the possibility of a giant planet hidden behind the Ort tag.

Tyche: El planeta gigante desconocido del sistema solar

Tyche, they say, would size 4 times larger than Jupiter.

Rumors suggest the existence of an elusive giant planet, which lies within our own solar system have been intensified after this theory was promoted by John Matese and Daniel Whitmire, astrophysicists at the University of Louisiana. But in reality it may be possible that a monumental body lives in our own cosmic neighborhood without being detected by the hundreds of astronomical exploration?

According to Matese and Whitmire is a fact that there is this planet, which has been called Tyche, and even claim that its dimensions are four times larger than Jupiter, the largest of the planets confirmed so far in our system solar, plus it has rings and moons orbiting around it.

urban cults in ancient Greece, Tyche (which means luck in Greek) played a key role as it was the deity governing the fate and prosperity of cities. During the Hellenistic period each Greek polis venerated his own version of this goddess who then call Roman Fortuna.

The pair of scientists justifies the Tyche has gone unnoticed until now arguing that it is hidden behind the Oort Cloud, a giant asteroid is located on the fringes of our solar system. And according to them the NASA infrared scanner, the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer has sent data that confirms the presence of the elusive planet but this information has yet to be analyzed by astronomers to determine its characteristics. "If confirmed, John and I will be around Car to celebrate, something not easy at our age, "said the experienced teacher Daniel Whitmire. Apparently

Tyche is 15,000 times farther from the Sun than the distance separating Earth from the greater light, and is composed mostly of hydrogen and helium. Its temperature is estimated between (-73 º C/-99.4 º F) in contrast to the temperature of the asteroids around you.

But now the question that excites astronomers is if you really confirm the existence of Tyche, which would replace Pluto as the ninth planet after the latter lost its title of "major planet" after a few years ago from 1930 was well considered. But paradoxically, even if the existence of Tyche confirmation ensure this does not enlist the elite of the major planets as some astronomers think this planet actually born in another star system and was eventually absorbed by us.
